If you do not have an attorney currently representing you on the case that you need to re-docket, below is the process for how to re-docket your District Court Misdemeanor, Felony, or Traffic Case.
Option 1: Go the third floor of the Hall of Justice and speak with a Case Managers to request a case be re-docketed between the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m Monday through Friday. Please have some form of identification with you.
Option 2: You can email your request in by 3pm Monday through Friday for same day processing to JEFFCOcasemanagers@kycourts.net. Please note, if you submit your re-docket request via email and have an active bench warrant, you will only be given a new court date. The bench warrant will remain out. If you would like to address your bench warrant before your next court date, you have to come in person and speak with a case manager as detailed above.
If you are emailing in your request, you will be required to provide the following information:
- contact information including name, address, phone, and email (if available)
- date of birth
- last four digits of Social Security Number
- basis for re-docket request
