The Jefferson District Court Judges are honored to perform wedding ceremonies at the Hall of Justice. Before you can get married, you must first obtain your marriage license. Marriage licenses are issued at the County Clerk’s office. More information on obtaining your marriage license can be found here.

REGULAR HOURS:

Monday – Friday 9:30am – 11am

Monday – Thursday 1:30pm -2:30pm

(NO FRIDAY AFTERNOONS)

WEDDINGS TAKE PLACE VIA WALK IN ONLY

FEE: $40 CASH ONLY

LOCATION: Hall of Justice Room 3192, 600 West Jefferson Street Louisville, KY. 40202

WITNESSES: Two witnesses (over the age of 18) are required.

MONDAY MAY 25, 2026- MEMORIAL DAY -CLOSED

TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2026 – NO AFTERNOON WEDDINGS

FRIDAY JUNE 19, 2026- JUNETEENTH -CLOSED

THURSDAY JULY 2, 2026- NO WEDDINGS

FRIDAY JULY 3, 2026- INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY -CLOSED
